Good news from last night!! After a
looong day of negotiations (finishing in the evening) there is an
agreement for CSEA/Classified furloughs (5 days) that
will restore many classified positions across the District. I appreciate the efforts of the
combined team and their continued focus to get to the best solution possible. Now we will all move to the ratification process in the most expedited way possible.
Dr. Miller, There was some legistation that passed last night that NEA was fighting for to save teachers jobs. It is now on to the Senate. CAn you please comment on this and keep us informed on what this will do for the district.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
I was glad to see our district begin to place all of the displaced teachers who have been extremely stressed out over not knowing where they will teach. I am extremely dismayed to see many combination classes posted. I think our district should be doing everything in its power to do away with these classes. They worked on the old days when there were not so many standards and tests. I can't see how our test scores will improve when students receive a substandard education!
